Art Classes
Our private art classes are designed for children ages 8 and up, who want to dive deeper into their creative interests. As with all our offerings, these classes emphasize the creative process rather than the final product. Students are encouraged to explore, experiment and discover their unique artistic voice through a series of guided invitations and projects over eight weeks.

We offer a variety of session options to suit your child's interests. All student grade art supplies are provided. Each class is 1.5hrs.
The Art of Weaving
8 Week Session - 12 Class Hours

Young artists will explore fundamental weaving skills and techniques in this introductory, hands-on class. Using a wide variety of materials, students will create unique woven forms inspired by traditional craft, historical weaving practices and the ways contemporary artists use fibre today. This class celebrates curiosity, experimentation and the joy of discovering what thread, colour and texture can do.

A Sketchbook Practice
8 Week Session - 12 Class Hours

Over eight creative sessions, young artists will dive into the vibrant world of sketchbook exploration! This class is perfect for curious makers who want to stretch their imagination, experiment boldly and discover how artists use sketchbooks as powerful tools for thinking, planning and playing. Each week will introduce two creative invitations - one to dive into during class time and another to take home and explore throughout the week. From quick sketches and playful mark making to deeper idea development, students will build their confidence in their artistic voice while learning how to use their sketchbook as an evolving space for inspiration.
Mixed Media Exploration

This hands on session invites children to dive into the world of artistic discovery through a variety of exciting processes over 8 classes! Students will explore collograph printmaking, experimental watercolour painting, paper weaving, collage, assemblage sculpture and more. Perfect for young artists eager to experiment and express themselves!
Drawing Lab

In this dynamic 8-week Drawing Lab, children will explore diverse drawing mediums, techniques and processes enhancing their capability to capture real-life subjects and bring their imaginative ideas to life. Each class will encourage experimentation, creativity and personal expression helping young artists build a strong foundation in drawing while having fun.
